From Rita Nani
Dear Natu
Sadly you missed SANA Badabapa’s version of his father who preserved the tattered diaries and books with great care burning mid night oil using chemicals from sugar factory lab.
In 2004 I started beating the words into computer and typed the entire version. 2011 as as we shifted to Odisha my first attempt was to compile all ma’s stories poems plays into a book form and 300 copies came out and was distributed in the family circle.
Next was jejebapa’s job. Lot of the documents had to be authenticated so lots of research. I did not want anyone to come up and label charges of falsehood as it was not a work of imagination.
Frequent trips to libraries and meetings with dada and verifications.
As an adoring grand daughter I have paid my humble homage to this giant of humanity.
Henceforth you youngsters take up the journey ahead.
